I`m writing in case any of you would be willing to help my Earth Science class with an assignment. We are collecting sand samples from any locations we can get it from so that we can look at them under the microscope and compare their mineral contents. We already have some from 3 locations in Florida, 2 from Oregon, 1 from Washington, 1 from Wyoming, and 2 from WV. If anyone would be willing to help us out just contact me for details. We don`t have a lot of money to spend on it but would like to get what we can. Thanks for any help you can provide! Dana

Hello Everyone! Our daughter relocated to Dallas, TX back in April this year. Our son graduated from Ohio State University in August with a degree in Sports Management. He works at the American Airline Center in Dallas where the (NBA) Mavericks play. He currently video tapes all of the games for the team. We just moved to Dallas in October to be near both of the kids and we love it! Besides my husband, the kids also give me a lot of strength, so we are very blessed to have been able to join them.

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! I can`t believe that it has been almost a year now since our 25th reunion. I wanted to let you know that there are several of us on “Facebook” now, so I wanted to invite the rest of our class to join as well. I wasn`t too sure about joining “Facebook” myself because I always thought that it was for the younger generation. However, it has been a great experience and I have been able to reconnect with family and friends. Hope to see more of you out there soon!....Take care, Tressa

Hello Class of “83” It is true the Oak Glen Golden Bears have won their Thirteenth Straight Class AA State title. It was an exciting season! They were undefeated in all their dual meets and they were OVAC –AAA 1st place. My son Justin has one year left to chase his state dream. He placed 7th this year. Coach Shaw was named national Coach of the year. We are all very proud! I will post some pictures soon. Some of the kid’s parents are Alumni also. Have a great Spring!

Oak Glen wrestlers have done it AGAIN!!!! I had been following the the state wrestling tournament in the news since the school where I teach had several boys go. I had teased my students that Oak Glen was best and one boy told me that Oak Glen was going to lose their winning streak to Calhoun which is the county right north of us here. I told him we`d wait and see what happened. Now I can go in and tease them that Oak Glen did it again!!! Congrats to the Oak Glen wrestlers for taking the state AA championship again!!!

My email listed at the OGHS site has been down a while. I received an email from Tressa encouraging all to vote. I took some time to look at all the pics from the reunion. Brought back a lot of memories. I am glad many were able to come. I had hoped to be able to introduce my family to individuals who in one way or another played a part in my life. Unfortunately with work, it was not possible. Take care all.

Hello all,
I very much enjoy seeing the pictures and reading the postings. I wish I could have attended! My daughter and I recently returned from a 7-day cruise. We loved the hot weather, beaches and food. Her and the dance team gave two great perfomances while at sea. It was great fun. Now it is back to school and the fall sports season (go steelers) I look forward to reading more updates.
All in all, graduating from a small town in WVa I think we have all done great.

I don`t know about anyone else, but I was exhausted for a week after attending the event of the year. I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of my classmates. I have truly enjoyed every moment of coordinating our 25th Reunion over the past 10 months. I also want to thank the Reunion Committee, who have done an outstanding job. I really enjoyed working with each and every one of you. I hope that everyone will stay in touch with me or at least post in this Guest Book and let us know how you and your family are doing. If you have something to share such as your son made the winning touchdown or you just got back from swimming around the world...LOL Post it here so that all of us can share in your adventures or great moments! Thanks again to everyone for putting up with all of my emails. Best Wishes Everyone, Tressa

It is really nice to see all the pictures from the reunion. Man, I wish I could have been there. Not only did the scenery make me homesick, but it was a real trip down memory lane to see all the classmates. I hope to see more pictures and hope to hear from the classmates on how everyone is doing. If any one lives in Georgia, or is coming through, let me know. I would love to hook up with you and catch up on our lives. The good part of not being able to attend is that my football team told me they were going to make it worth my while to be on the field with them. We beat Kennesaw Mountain High 42-14. Yeah, we kick their as... Tressa, great job and I know every one that was involved worked really hard and even from looking at pictures, I believe it was a successful reunion.
Hope all are doing great and hope to hear from some of you soon.
Joe

I had hoped to see more of us signed up for the reunion but I am sure that the ones attending will have a memorable evening.
To my friend ”T”... Thanks for all your hard work.. Please don`t make me wash dishes after the reunion! I hope your husband isn`t too exasperated with the Class of 1983! See you all soon....Dwight

Hi Everyone,
Good news to share with you all. The Reunion Committee and I have removed ALL ”Late Fees” for the Reunion tickets. Anyone that has already paid any late fees will be reimbursed. If you are having a hard time getting your ticket money together, we have another option we would like to offer you. If you can pay 50 %< /b> of your total amount due by July 24, 2008, then we can give you an extension until August 1 to pay the remaining balance. However, if your remaining balance is not paid in full by August 1, then on August 2, I will be returning your original check. We hope that this will help some of you, so that you will be able to take part in our 25th Anniversary. Who knows this may be our last chance to get as many Alumni together as possible, so please re-think your plans and come join us for a great weekend. Regards,Tressa

Hi Everyone,
Well we are officially at the 6 week count-down until the Reunion. I really hope that we will see a large turn-out for both days because there has been a tremendous amount of work put into our 25th Reunion. I would hate to see it all go to waste after 10 months of preparation or worse yet, we would have to cancel the Reunion due to lack of participation. So please mail in your forms prior to July 24, so that I can get a head count for the Caterer as well as other items. We have a lot of really nice door prizes to give away and don`t forget about the 2-Round Trip Tickets (via American Airlines) to anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. We all hope to see you and your families on August 9-10, 2008. Regards, Tressa

Hi everyone! I`m working hard on reunion plans again thanks to a call from Paula. It doesn`t look like our girls will be able to make it but Jody and I should. We hoped to make a vacation out of this with the whole gang but due to school and other activities it is going to be a fly in and out of town trip. I can`t wait to see everyone.

Hello to all the grads of 1983.
I hope everyone is well and unfortunately my plans have changed for attending the reunion. I am not going to be able to come after all due to my football team has a scrimmage on the date of the reunion. I have been busy with my masters classes and have been creating new defensive schemes for the upcoming season. We have been preseasoned ranked in the state of Ga for the first time ever and I can`t wait until we start hitting oppossing teams. Just got back from basketball camp with my team and it was a success. The 2008-2009 season looks very good. Can`t wait for that either. I hope everyone has a great time at the reunion and will be wishing to be there, but unfortunately my professional obligations have interrupted my plans again. I really enjoy reading the postings from classmates and hope to see more soon.

Hi, I`m not Amy but I`m her sister, Jane (class of 83.) I can fill you in on what she has been up to these past 25 years because I know she won`t. She doesn`t spend much time on the computer! Amy has been living in Chester with her husband of twenty-some years, Mitch Porter. They have two handsome sons, Trent and Dean. Trent attends WVU and is also an awesome guitarist. Dean is a junior at Oak Glen and plays baseball. He hopes to attend West Point Military Acamdemy after his senior year. Both boys have worked at the Sparkle Market in Chester for the past several years on weekends. They are fantastic kids! Amy has worked for the past ump-teen years as a dental hygienist in Chester and and in Salem Oh. Her husband Mitch is a regional manager for Frito Lay. Both Amy and Mitch are active members of Sacred Heart Church as well as active members of the Chester community. Amy and her friend Susan Theiss co-chair Home Town Christmas in Chester each year. Amy and Mitch love living in Chester because it allows them to be near to their families. I`m pretty sure you will see her at the reunion!

I just thought that I would let everyone know that if you made any hotel reservations at the ”Amerihost Inn” located in East Liverpool, Ohio, they have changed their name to ”The Comfort Inn” now. Please call (330)386-3800 at the Comfort Inn to ensure that your reservations are still showing. They are also honoring the same price that the Amerihost Inn had given us, which is $78 + tax per night. Regards, Tressa(Haught)Reyes

Tressa - This is a great site! You`ve come a long way, baby, from bussing tables at Waterford Inn! I hope you don`t mind the Class of `82 jumping in and saying HELLO! I hope you guys have a great turnout for your reunion. We had ours last summer; the turnout was disappointing, but those of us who made it had a GREAT time! The internet is a wonderful tool to help us keep in touch with old friends and classmates that we otherwise would`ve lost track. I`m waiting to see if you hear from Jay Dunn - I would love to get in touch with him after all these years. Oh, and in case anybody cares - I live in southern California with my husband of 17 years, Robert, and our children Matt, 21, Sarah, 16, and Anna, almost 7. I`m an elementary school librarian (after a 15-year civil service career) and loving just about every minute of life. Hit me up - my e-mail is maniacally_mellow_me@yahoo.com. Peace!

I just made plans to attend the reunion. My football season does not start until two weeks after the date of the reunion and will be able to come up for the reunion, but the picnic may be out since we are in school at that time and I will have to be back on Monday to teach my little darlings. I really look forward to seeing every one after all these years. I didn`t get to make the 20 year event, so it will be great to come back home after all these years. I am going to send some photos of my family as soon as my wife (Barb Emery class of 84) and I can agree on which ones to send. We have many more of our son Alex then of us since one of us is behind the camara. Be geat to hear from you all, feel free to shot me an e-mail anytime.

Hey everyone!!! First of all great job to Tressa and to anyone who helped with this website. Also, since I guess I was lost and didn`t know it, thanks to Brian for his diligence in finding me! I hope to hear from and contact many of you that is long overdue. As for me, I have been working for Rite Aid as a pharmacist for the past 18 years after graduating from West Liberty in 1987 and from the WVU School of Pharmacy in 1990. I`ve been married going on 16 years now to my wife Elaine originally from Keyser W.V. and 1990 graduate from WVU also. We have 2 beautiful daugters Cierra (age 10) and Kaylie (age 5). Just like many of you our kids keep us very busy in their activities as well as trying to juggle working. We built a house about 7 years ago (which seems like a never ending process)in Wheeling W.V. so I`m not real far from home. It is great to read about everyone and all the great pictures. Hope to see everyone in August if work schedule permits.

Melissa (Simmons) Householder
Hi Everyone,
I cannot believe that we are coming up on our 25th reunion. It doesn`t seem possible!!! Hope everyone is doing well. I have been married going on 21 years this May to Kevin Householder. I can`t believe I started dating him at the end of our junior year, some of you will remember him. We have our own plumbing business in Calcutta, OH. We were lucky to be able to stay here -around our families, we both have pretty large families that we are very close to. I had my own photography business for awhile and gave that up to raise my two children. Two kids plus a business is enough to keep me busy for now. We have a 16 year old daughter, Stephanie. She`s now a junior at Beaver Local HS.She keeps us plenty busy with all of her activites and she also works at Foxes Nursing Home in Chester as a Hospitality Companion a few hours a week.
We have a 13 year old son, Andrew, who prefers to attend school via computer. He is enrolled in B.O.S.S. on-line school and loves to sleep in and do his work at his own pace and time. They are both honor roll students and make us proud. I have thought about trying my hand at writing and have started to when things aren`t too busy, which isn`t very often. So hopefully that will work out when I have more time to dedicate to it. I wish everyone well and hope to see you soon. Melissa ”Simmons” Householder

It`s great to read about you all and see the pics. I can`t believe all of the work that has been done locating folks and getting this site setup. Thanks to everyone who put in time to organize this. Been a long time everyone, that`s for certain... I have been really bad about keeping contact with anyone, sorry... I retired from the Air Force in 2003 after living all over the world and stayed up in Alaska. I have been working as the Civilian Provost Marshal (Police Chief) at the Army base since leaving the AF. But recently my wife (Karina) of 17 years took a position down in Seattle area, so we moved this past summer, still questioning myself why sometimes.... Starting my own business here recently and dividing my time between work and traveling back and forth to Canada for Hockey tournaments. Have two boys (14 and 12) that are heavily into Tier I and Tier II hockey for their age groups. Trying to make arrangements for the trip this summer, Wow! the 25th! Look forward to seeing everyone and re-establishing contact with old friends....

Wow! This website is great and definitely bringing back memories. I love it! I have been married for 13 years to a McKees Rocks boy who I met at Equibank. I still work there but the name has changed 4 times! Currently it`s Merrill Lynch on the paychecks and I am a senior specialist in special projects. BT and I didn`t think we wanted any kids but Samantha thought otherwise and was born in 2001. She is in first grade now. Sarah arrived in 2005. I`m pretty sure that`s it for us because BT says he prefers sleep to screaming babies.
Tressa, thanks for doing so much work on this site. It`s really cool reading about everyone`s lives.
I will send some pics when I find some that I am in-I`m always behind the camera!

Hi everyone. Great website Tressa. I didn`t know it existed until I got an e-mail. It`s nice to see all the pictures and how everybody is doing. I spent 7 years in the Air Force and got married during that time to a young lady(at the time) also in the Air Force(12 years) that was from Philadelphia. I left the military in 92 and have worked for Cincinnati Bell as a splicer since then. I have a 21 y/o daughter that joined the Air Force and she is stationed in Germany after spending 1 1/2 years in the Azores. I have 1 son who is 18 and doesn`t know where he is going yet and a 12 year old daughter that I don`t know what I`d do without.

A big hello to everyone! It is great to see so many people going to the site and getting in touch. I have been helping out locating classmates, did not realize what an undertaking it really is. 25 years have gone by quickly and I cannot wait to see everyone this summer. Take a look at the missing list and see if there is anyone you know...direct them to the site so that they will know about the reunion. Even if you cannot make the visit...keep in touch through this site. I looked at the class of 1984`s site and they have been staying in touch for years. With today`s technology we have NO EXCUSES. My best to everyone.
