You guys have done some amazing things! My husband Doug and I lived in Salisbury till our 2 children graduated college--almost 3 years ago. At that point, we sold our house, quit our jobs and moved to a little town in northern PA. We started building a log home, got new jobs, and we`re currently awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild. Our daughter is a middle school teacher in Fleetwood and our son works on software for missile guidance systems. We spend our spare time working on the house and touring the country on our Harley. I`m so very disappointed we couldn`t make it to the reunion---bet it was a blast!

Like everyone else, time sure has pasted by quickly. Met my bride at PSU and been happy ever since. Twenty five years later, my baby girl-Megan-is a sophomore at Pitt, middle son-Tony-is a senior at PSU and oldest-Joel- graduated last year from Ship. Been at Morgan Stanley since college, active with the Red Cross and Center City kids, my wife Jeanne volunteers at LV Hospital and other charities. Still playing and coaching soccer, coaching the varsity girls team at Parkland. Live in Orefield and stay in touch with Furjanic who`s in NC. Hope to be able to make the reunion and catch up with so many friends from long ago.

Everything is new, every day! I choose to live from health, passion and beauty having learned from disease, saddness and injury. I drive my two children crazy (lovin` the role reversal on that one!) and have as much fun as possible with my 9 year old granddaughter. My dog Jordon is my favorite companion and hhmmm...I`m still an Aquarius and I still don`t understand why it`s important and I still remain curious! Completely stoked about reconnecting.

I have really enjoyed reading the various posts and personally catching up with a few of you. To reflect on my years following high school, I stayed in Allentown for another four years attending and graduating from Muhlenberg College in 1982. I spent a year at the dental school at Georgetown University, decided the curriculum wasn’t fulfilling my needs and the tuition and cost of living in Washington, DC would keep me in debt far longer than I was comfortable with. So I moved to Chapel Hill, NC and attended the dental school at the University of North Carolina where I graduated in 1987. I spent the next year doing a residency at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. So essentially I spent the first 10 years after high school continuing my education and don’t get me wrong it was worth it but it was a grueling decade having no life except as a student.
With my formal education finally behind me, I began practicing dentistry in Monroe, North Carolina and after about ten years, sold my practice and opened a new one in Charlotte, NC where I practice now. It took me a while but I found my niche. I love the location and interestingly enough, my practice is across the hall from my brother who is a dermatologist.
I married my soul mate, Amy, in 1992 and while her father had hoped she would marry a southern aristocrat, she got neither! Throughout the years of struggling to build a practice and some other tough times, Amy has been my rock – a beautiful one at that. She complements me in so many ways. She’s helped me to understand how not to sweat the small stuff and the importance of a balance in life. And without her, the spiritual element of my life would still be non-existent.
Amy and I have three children, Katie (15), Anna (13) and Richard (10). We are pretty much of an athletic family. Katie and Anna run cross country and do karate. Richard’s focus is entirely on soccer, essentially playing year round. We’re so blessed. They’re good kids, smart kids.
With things finally falling into place, I found the time to get back into athletics myself several years ago and now train for and do sprint distance and olympic distance triathlons. It requires training in at least one of the three disciplines (swimming, cycling and running) virtually every day but I really enjoy it. Again, another step in trying to achieve balance. Since Amy enjoys running, training for 5k’s and half marathons, it is also fun to occasionally train together.
So life is good… busy, but good. It is hard to believe that we’re all pushing 50. Life goes by so quickly. As for the reunion, because of family obligations, it is doubtful that I will be able to attend and if I do, it will likely be a last minute decision. I will hope for the best. In the meantime, I wish you all the very best in all things and I hope the next thirty years is even better than the previous thirty. Make it happen.

Alright, fellow 78ers. I`ve resisted to the utmost of my ability, but after reading so many great guestbook entries, it`s time I buck up.
Salisbury High was a blast and a great launching pad for me. I always wanted to fly so I crossed the Mason-Dixon line and did 4 years at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. I played football for Navy and have a piece of the wooden goalpost from JFK stadium in 1979 - the last time the Army/Navy game was at JFK. We beat Army and I blew out my knee. On to 3 more years of serious academics (Schneck Tech was great, but really didn`t prepare me for the Academy`s academic rigors) and flight school. I thought I wanted to fly jets, but found choppers more fun (hey Russ Zullick - I want to drink a beer and trade war stories with you - you flew the weedwackers too....pretty cool!!!). Got married right after graduation and watched that marriage fail until I came back to Salisbury and linked up with Lynn Zellner - an awesome woman and someone who has handled our 4-child brady bunch thing very well. She did 25 years at the Lehigh County courthouse and is retired and doing aerobics, and is a stay-at-home mom with no kids.
We just sent our 4th and final high school grad off to college....and I have to praise my fellow Falcons who have young kids - and there are a lot of you....DRINK VODKA. Life will get better. Alright, I yakked enough. Let`s get together and tip our glasses to 30 years. Looking forward to shaking everyone`s hand.

First and foremost – thanks to all the Service men and women from our graduating class! Just having come back from NYC and Ground Zero it means even more to me! Thanks to Janice and others for organizing this reunion. Thanks to Tina & John Sills for this great website! It has been wonderful reading about our classmates and what they have been doing for the past 30 years!! I am amazed at the many paths our classmates have traveled.
As for me, I will be married for 20 years on November 21 to my wonderful husband and friend, Mike. We have two great children, Leah age 17, entering her Senior Year at Oley Valley High School with plans to study Chinese/Asian Studies and Secondary Education at Colgate or University of Maryland or some other yet to be decided university. She is a dancer and a Girl Scout currently working on her Gold Award (i.e. correlates to the Boy Scouts Eagle Scout Award). Our son, Matthew is 13 and starting 8th grade. He is also a Scout but loves to swim, 12 months a year, and hopes to be the next Michael Phelps. His best stroke is Butterfly. He wears a size 13 shoe and is now 5’9”. I hope he keeps growing. He also plays an awesome Tenor Saxophone and the Native American flute. Can you tell I am proud? We also have a Border Collie named Molly (have you seen Babe?).
After graduating from Salisbury, I lived in PA and NY and then settled in Berks County, PA. I am sad to say (because 30 years have passed) – and at the same time proud to say (I love learning) that I am still going to school. I am working on my Masters Degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Project Management at the University of Maryland. I earned a BS in Business Administration from Albright College while working for a technology company based in Pennsylvania. I currently work for Siemens Medical, a global healthcare manufacturing company based out of Germany with US headquarters in Malvern, PA. I was on the management trail for 15 years and am now very happy working as a business requirements analyst for all our sales organization and US based manufacturing companies of medical equipment and software.
I look forward to seeing all of you at our reunion in November!

Greetings to all from Camp Hill PA. My husband, Todd and I have been married 21 years with two sons, Cameron who is a freshman at Liberty University and Matt who is in 8th grade. After college I worked in nursing for 18 years, the last ten years I have been a flextime sales rep with Wyeth pharmaceuticals. Currently I am looking for a job after my division was downsized in spring. I am looking forward to the reunion, I don`t know about the rest of you but there is no way I am old enough to be out of high school 30 years. Hope everyone is well and thanks to those who got the ball rolling for a reunion. See you all in Nov

I really missed the glory days of high school so moved back into the basement of Salisbury High School, parted my hair in the middle and put on some bell bottom pants ..... THEN I WOKE UP..........I have been married for 10 years. I have an 8 year old son and 3 month old daughter. I worked for handful of companies over the years which allowed me to live in some great US and European cities. I am now a Global Business Leader for a company based out of Newark, DE. Life has been very good. The future will be even better!

Hi everyone. It`s been a long time. My wife. Michele, and I live in Orefield, PA. We have three children. My oldest is Ryan, 13, who will going to 8th grade at Springhouse Middle school in the fall. He`s the quiet one of them. Ryan is an excellent student who loves video games and to play paintball with his friends. My daughter Regan is 10 and will be going to 5th grade at Parkway Manor in the fall. She is the athlete of the family. She plays basketball and is goalie on her travel soccer team. My youngest is Riley who is seven and going to second grade. He`s quite a handful and there`s never a dull moment with him. Michele is a nurse turned stayed at home mom. She spends a lot of her time volunteering at both of the schools, teaching PREP classes at church and chauferring the kids to their activities. As for me, I graduated from Penn State in 1982 with a degree in Accounting. After 25 years, I`m still in the same profession. (Oh, how boring!) For the past 5 years, I`ve worked for Essroc Cement Corp in Nazareth PA. My baseball days are long over and I like to play golf with my friends and especially with my oldest son who just took up the game. I`ve enjoyed coaching my kid`s various sports teams over the years. As a family, we enjoy going to the beach and Penn State football games in the fall.
I`m looking forward to the November reunion and seeing all those friendly faces from the past. Thanks to all who took the time to organize. It should be a blast.

Just to reiterate, 30 years has passed by fast. I have been married for 27 years now (longest I ever held a job) with a son living in Florida and a daughter in Nevada. I joined the Air Force in October 1977, 8 months before graduation. 3 days after graduating I was at boot camp in Texas. From there I was stationed in Florida, Spain, California, England and back to Florida. I was also blessed to serve 2 tours in the Gulf War. I retired out of the Air Force with 20 1/2 years. I stayed working for the Dept of Defense with-in the civil service arena, which has taken me to Utah. I use to work the hydraulic systems most fighter type aircraft, now I`m in the customer relations’ field (complaint department) for the F-16 aircraft. My spare time I get involved in motorcycle riding through the western mountains and then I also like to bowl and was coaching for the kids here. I usually get back to the Pa. area once every 2 years and I am trying to make arrangements for the 30-year reunion. If anyone is planning a visit to the Salt Lake City area please look me up.

Russell Zullick
Six months prior to graduating with the class of 1978, I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard under the delayed enlistment program on a four year enlistment. My intent was to complete my enlistment and save enough money to put myself through college and become a Pennsylvania State Trooper. Immediately after graduation, I was off to recruit training (boot camp). During my initial four year enlistment I was stationed aboard a ship in Alaska, attended school to become a helicopter mechanic in North Carolina, and served as a helicopter mechanic and air-crewman in Florida. After the expiration of my enlistment I was released from the service and attended Mansfield University where I majored in Criminal Justice.
Putting my self through college proved to be financially challenging, so I applied for an Army R.O.T.C. scholarship. I was awarded an R.O.T.C. academic scholarship at the beginning of my sophomore year, and upon graduation I was commissioned a Second Lieutenant with my first assignment taking me to Army flight school. My entire Army Aviation career was spent at Ft. Riley, Kansas with the exemption of deployments to Europe. During my tour with the Army, I achieved the rank of Captain and enjoyed the opportunity of flying the OH-58 “Kiowa”, UH-1 “Huey”, and UH-60A “Black Hawk” helicopters. After completing my obligated service to the Army, I transferred my commission into the U.S. Coast Guard.
My initial assignment as a pilot with the Coast Guard was in Traverse City, Michigan where I flew the HH-3F “Pelican” and the HH-60J “Jay Hawk” helicopters throughout the Great Lakes while learning how to perform search and rescue missions. After a four year assignment in the Great Lakes, I requested to serve in Alaska.
I spent the next 11 consecutive years flying the HH-60J throughout Alaska. I served my first five years flying from the Coast Guard air base in Sitka, and my last six years flying out of Kodiak. Flying in Alaska was exceptionally challenging and very rewarding. I was blessed to serve with the very best men & women in Coast Guard Aviation while performing rescue missions under some of the most demanding conditions imaginable. Accounts of some of these dramatic rescues have been published in “Coming Back Alive” by Spike Walker, “The Last Run” by Todd Lewan, “So Others May Live” by Martha L. LaGuardia, and “Lincoln on Leadership” by Donald P. Phillips. Other rescue missions in which I have participated have been featured on the Discovery Series “The Deadliest Catch” and on The Weather Channel series “Storm Stories”. After my assignments in Alaska, I was transferred to Seattle, Washington. In Seattle I served in a non-flying assignment and subsequently retired from the Coast Guard at the rank of Commander with more than 24 years of service.
Since my retirement from the Coast Guard, I’ve been employed with the Maryland State Police as a civilian pilot. I fly “Trooper 3”, based out of the Frederick airport.
I’ve been married to the love of my life for 19 years whom I met while attending Mansfield University. My bride, Deb, has blessed us with a beautiful son, Russell who is seven years old. We are currently living Aspers, PA which is located just north of Gettysburg. We still own our home in Kodiak and have been able to visit every summer since our departure. As of now, our intent is to return to Alaska - should it be in the Lord’s plans.

Hi everyone. Rich and I live in Coopersburg Pa.where we built our own house in 1986. We decided to get the kid thing over with all at once and had quadruplets on March 10, 1989. We have 3 boys (2 are identical) and 1 girl. They graduated from Southern Lehigh in 2007 and just returned home from finishing their first year of college. We have two at Dickinson College and two at Susquehanna University. In High School Greg was captain of the football team, David was captain of the cross country/track team, and Jess was captain of the softball team, and James was our national honor society member and chemistry award winner his senior year (he took after his dad in the brains dept!). For anyone wondering, I did not have the `empty nest` syndome when they all left at the same time for college. We then had time to re-do things around the house but no MONEY to do it with. Some things don`t change even in 30 years !! For those of you managing this website and working on the reunion Thank You for your time.

Go Falcons! After 4 years of teaching and getting my graduate degree from Lehigh University, living in S. Florida for the past 22 years has been an enormous change. Those 22 years were all spent at Atlantic H.S. in Delray Beach, Newsweek`s 39th Best High School of 2007. As a 10th grade, English teacher (I guess Mrs. Harry, Miss Confalone and Mrs. Carlis msde a larger impression than I thought!)I certainly have my hands full. My husband, Kevin, is the Athletic Director at Atlantic and we not only met there 22 years ago, but have worked together as well ! We`ve been married 21 years. Our sons Ryan and Connor are in the 10th and 8th grades, respectively. Like their father, they are both diverse athletes; football, soccer and lacrosse being their favorites. We have two dogs; Scooter and Scamper (Yorkie mixes) and I look forward to getting together with ”the girls” whenever I can.

It`s been 30 years WOW!! I don`t feel that old. I am married & have 9 year old twin boys, Jacob & Joshua. I also have a 33 year old stepson & a 26 year old stepson & 3 grandchildren. My husband is Michael and hopefulyl you can tell form our email that my last name is now Hickman.
After high school I went to LCCC. That was short lived.(I had to find myself) (haa haa) I was engaged & was planning a wedding so I had no time for school. That wedding never transpired,(praise God) and I settled into working at Red Lobster and having a good time for several years. I went back to school sometime in the late 1980`s. I was an EMT/Paramedic assistant for a few years & then became a phlebotomist & worked in that field until I had my boys. My husband was from Knoxville,TN. (We met on the internet!) and he was home sick. So we moved to TN in June 1999. I am currently living in TN, & raising our boys & working at a preschool. The work & hours allow me plenty of time to be involved in my boys lives & in their school. What`s new with you?

Hey everyone! Where has the time gone?!? This website is fantastic! I really enjoyed reading what everyone is doing now. Can`t wait to get together with all of you at the 30th reunion. I still live in the area. I have been living in Emmaus the past 13 years. No husband or kids...just my boyfriend, Al, of 17 years (living in sin as my mother will tell you), a German Shepherd named Max, and two cats I adopted from a friend in North Carolina, appropriately named Rebel and Belle. I am the Bookkeeper and Office Manager of a law firm in downtown Bethlehem for the past 5 1/2 years. Keeping busy with home, work and various community organizations in which I volunteer my time. I haven`t learned how to say no yet when someone asks for my help but I still make sure I have time to get together with friends for drinks on the weekends. Keeps me sane!

Hi Everyone!! I am really impressed with what everyone is doing! I recently returned from a historic archeological study in Egypt...located a few mummy tombs and then returned to Salisbury Township. Only kidding, except for the Salisbury Township part. The highlight of my year was that my family and I moved into a new home that we built in Buckingham Place in Western Salisbury. I have a husband Barry, a son Alex (10), and a daughter Lindsey (8). My career is in Special Education/communication disorders. I go into homes and daycares to work with infants and toddlers that have delays in language, speech, sensory issues, as well as various syndromes and autism. I`m in a unique position to help people, as I have an autistic child as well. For relaxion, I get together with my high school friends once a month for ”Girls Club” plus Tom. We get together for dinner and drinks. (JoAnn Ragusa, Anne Romig, Donna Brobst, Wendy Kistler, Debbie Benscoter, Mariann Hebelka, Kim Barndt, Marty Trinkle, Gina Wolfe, and Tom Onushco). We always laugh a lot. That hasn`t changed in 30 years!!!

Wow, This is interesting, I forgot who most everyone is. I have been living in Southern California since 1983. I worked for four years catering in Palm Springs. Then two years as a butler in Hollywood I then worked fifteen years as a propmaker and Movie Set Construction Superintendant all over the place. I retired because of Illness and moved to the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree. I have since recovered and am now doing better than ever at a much slower pace.
See you soon,

Living in New York since 1986, working my way through the theatre in many capacities. - from producing organizations to stage directors/choreogaphers union; casting, and as a theatrical press rep for the broadway productions of Inherit the Wind (with George C Scott and Charles Durning) and the pulitzer prize winning play, The Kentucky Cycle. For the last 12 years, I have been at Theatre Communications Group, the national service origanization for the professional theatre, as Director of Advertising for American Theatre magazine and editor of ARTSEARCH, the National Employment Bulletin for the Arts ... OK - Even I`m bored by my bio. My husband George Zegarsky is the automation carpenter at The Lion King which we hope will run until we retire :)
No kids, but a big silly dog, Hunter - Rhodesian ridgeback mixed with yellow lab, and a great house in the woods - 40 miles up the Hudon River - a nice respite from the nasty, crowded city!

Myself, my wife Donna of 21 years, and my two sons Zach (17) and Connor (14) still live in Vera Cruz just outside of Emmaus. My boys attend Emmaus High School and Donna is a COTA in the East Penn School District. I am a Senior Systems Engineer for Gnostech Inc, a small but growing defense contractor in Warminster PA. I research and develop different and new ways of deploying the Joint Mission Planning System used by Marine and Naval aviators to plan and carry out flight operations and missions. This system is deployed by the Naval Space and Warfare(SPAWAR)in NE Philadelphia. I am still in the Navy Reserves going on 22 years of service. I had been mobilized and deployed in 2002 for eight months of a one year recall. I was selected and promoted last year to Chief Petty Officer and serving in Fort Dix NJ as a Cryptological Technician Networks Chief. I`ll save something to talk about at the reunion. See you all then.

Still manage to swim and walk (when I get time), and enjoy animals, my house, and gardening. It`s been a long time!!!!

Hey All .... 30 years! Yikes! Can`t Be.
I`m living in Macungie currently with my father who had a stroke and car
accident a while back. Since I`m the only ”unmarried” brother, I
volunteered to move in with him to help him out. He`s back on his feet
now, and is taking care of himself, so I`ll probably be moving to Easton
soon, where I`ve worked for Crayola for the past 12 years as a Consumer
Affairs Programmer/Analyst. All going well there. Great place to work and
I work with a lot of great people.
Finishing up my Masters in Education at Cedar Crest this year. Yes ...
still going to school after all these years.... I`m a slow learner ..lol.
I still dabble in community theater occasionally. Mostly at Civic Theatre
in Allentown. Other than that, keep busy with weekend trips to Philly and
NYC, getting to the shore as much as possible over the summer, hanging out
with my freinds in A-town and getting together with the ”club” ladies once
in a while.
Drop me a line... haven`t heard from some of you in ages (especially Brian
Sawatska .... whatever happened to him anyway?). -Tom

I relocated with my family from Columbus, Ohio to the Orlando, Florida area in May, 2007. We are very much enjoying the winter weather in sunny Florida. Drop me a line to say `hello`.
